We came to Allstate with
high hopes our parents had been customers for years so they could give
us the best rates and they even promised to pull down our rates come
February but come February our rate has gone up forty dollars. 1/7 of
what I make will go to car insurance... So we go in and we cancel our
policy and we do it in person as nicely as we could to someone who lied
to us.
And then today three weeks later we find out he our agent Dennis ** renewed our policy and had full plans to pull money out of our account even though we have switched to a competent car insurance company that means we can eat and insure our vehicle a modern marvel that Allstate has not heard of.
So I call to cancel and they tell me I have to call back next Tuesday so I call my bank and they put a block on Allstate pulling out money. But I do not feel safe, I feel threatened and lied to. I also feel like our agent Dennis ** was sexist towards me, always asking to talk to my husband and even though our insurance is in both names only sending post to my husband. Once we called the Allstate help line and they said they were too busy and hung up. We are only keeping our renters insurance because we paid for it but we honestly might pay for it from someone else because Allstate has proved to us they are thieves and liars! Very disappointed.
Ravi Reddy Allstate, Cary, N.C. - My wife and I split up. She moves to Michigan. She initiates a new car insurance policy (through her Allstate local agent). I get a letter from the DMV that my insurance is lapsed and I need to get in touch with them. Of course I have moved too and my forwarded mail was late, and now I have to provide an FS-1 to the DMV. After countless emails with Ravi Reddy agency they finally issued me an FS-1. Immense grief I encountered arguing endlessly that I needed an FS-1. Finally I got my FS-1 from Ravi Reddy agency. It didn't matter what was on it -- the DMV was not moving forward without it.
Next I get a new policy declaration from Ravi Reddy Allstate that has been modified adding all the extra coverage I never had and don't want. I emailed him and told him to put it back like it was, and to not bill me for it. This took multiple emails and he finally sent me a new policy declaration exactly as I had requested (so many times). During these changes I had sent some money to make sure I had some skin in the game and didn't wake up one day without coverage. I paid enough upfront to cover the entire policy period. I was expecting a refund to show up when a bill came in the mail for about $75. I contacted Ravi Reddy agency and Ravi explained to me that I needed to log into some account and confirm some changes. I told him, "No, get this cleaned up or I will cancel the policy."
